I didn't know Dave or his mom, but I know what it's like to lose your mom. I hope that you continue to feel her presense near you Dave. Although no
words can take your pain away, as time goes buy you'll find that you can breathe again without the ache. She's a shining star in Heaven now and will
always look down on you. If you find music of any comfort, the Memorial Music Library has many songs about loss and grief. http://www.memorialmusiclibrary.com/ (The song that Russell wrote and Alan sang had me crying for my mom all over
again.) God Bless you and your family.

RIP to Dave Kelly's mom.
Never met the man before, but losing a
mom is everyone's utmost sadness. Pray to GOD that Dave and his family would be given strength and love by the Almighty to deal with this difficult time.

Its an amazing thing to have a mother..be a parent..and still a child.. that never changes..as we go through life those things are almost taken for granted and
the time is short..but it is in the company of friends and family we find solace.... to be the strength we need to see us through...May they gather around you
and be a comfort...God bless you and keep you.

Never tought about it losing a mother untill I lost her lost year.. If I knew then what I know now I never good have let her go. The pain is deeper than you
think but after a year there comes proudness that SHE was your mother and the love you feel is stronger than you can carry. Sorry for my poor Englisch, i'm
from the Netherlands, but hey, you try to right your feelings in dutch..

By their fruits you will know them.
I never got to meet his mother, but she must have been a very special woman to have reared so kind and generous a son. Heartfelt condolences and prayers for your entire family, Dave.

Dave and Denzel, my heart bleeds for you and your family. I enjoyed her friendship and the time I spent with her, getting to know her and hearing the stories
of her mother and the rest of her family at "home" in Wales. She was a lovely person, and you must know that your memories of her will keep her alive
in your hearts forever.

Truly am so sorry for your loss. While I did not have the honor of meeting her, I've heard many stories from others on how she was such a sweet and
tender-hearted woman.

Hey there Dave - I don't expect you to know me but I've met you a few times through your band: the first time in Austin, Chicago even whilst your band
toured Australia; when I toured Australia seeing your band play at night was the icing on the cake! I'd see you at certain stages of your tours and
you'd ask what we had seen during the days and sorta compare notes about the sites. (I remember you talked of your mom as we even chatted about family
histories) I lost both my parents early, at any time in one's life it can be rather daunting, as a parent is an anchor. I hope she was not ill long. Your
greatest strength is your circle of friends which are an extended family now. Pull them close, enjoy their company and let them prop you up when you need it!
The record of a generous life runs like vines around the memory... and every sweet, unselfish act is now a perfumed flower... character survives, goodness lives, love is forever. ~anon. Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are with us. ~anon. My sympathies to you and yours, Michelle |

Dear Dave,
I met you first in Austin in 2000 and then many other times along the TOFOG road, including Le Thor and Jan 06 in Australia (great memories of Elvis Costello and Katoomba). My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mom - I'm sure she was proud of you and your talent! My prayers are with you and your family at this time. My sympathies Dave | #16 | ||

Dave--you and I have met a couple of times-- once at a concert at a local LA club.
I wanted to extend sympathy to you and your family--on the loss of your Mom. I know what it is like to lose a mother--Mine died in 2001-- after a two and a half month battle with cancer. In fact she was undergoing radiation the day Russell did the LA Gladiator Q&A. I still miss her. But some of the sorrow is lessened. Your mum will always be your mom. There will be times when you want to say something or hug her. I know that pain Dave. If I knew you well enough--I would be there for you-- hugging you when you needed it. Listening-- and if you needed to cry--doing it without judging you. You will be kept in my prayers and thoughts. It is another difficult time for me-- as my godfather died--and I was notified just yesterday-- but in my sorrow-- I reach out to you in yours. My the Lord console you. I am a Franciscan --and in the famous prayer of St. Francis-- there is the phrase:"to console rather than to be consoled" -- and therefore I hope my brief words bring you consolation. Pax et bonum, Gayle-Lynne Gordon, SFO |

Dear Dave,
I lost my mother 5 years ago, 9 years after losing my dad. Mom was 91 years old so I thought I had prepared myself for it but I don't think you can ever be prepared. We can only be thankful to have had such wonderful parents who leave such huge holes in our hearts. The it's such a comfort to know that this separation is temporary. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and hope that in time the pain will evolve into joyous memories. God bless and comfort you! Joan |
